ARH in the Community

American Renaissance Family

American Renaissance Homes recognizes the importance of being an active member of the community to rebuild after Katrina. To that end, ARH has partnered with two agencies in St. Bernard Parish in charitable alliances to promote recovery. ARH has agreed to donate $150.00 for each house sold in St. Bernard Parish to a scholarship fund for deserving seniors from the St. Bernard Public Schools. This scholarship will go to students picked by the School Board who plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical school after graduation. Each student will receive a $1500 scholarship. ARH will initiate this alliance with the presentation of a $1000.00 check at the Grand Opening of ARH’s office.

ARH’s other charitable alliance is with the St. Bernard Council on Aging. The Council on Aging like everyone else lost its base of operations due to Katrina. Right now it is operating out of trailers in the parish and is restarting a number of programs. ARH has committed $50.00 for each house sold in St. Bernard Parish to help re-establish the Meals On Wheels program that brings hot meals to the elderly in the parish. We believe this effort supports a critical social service that will both help the individual seniors and serve to keep families together within the parish. We are initiating this effort with the presentation of a $500.00 check at our Grand Opening on August 18, 2006.
